ITB Mathematics Expo
ITB Mathematics Expo, 22-24 November 2007
Yesterday I attended one of several events in ITB mathematics expo. That was a seminar titled “How Would Picasso Look At Math?”. The speakers are Mr Iwan Pranoto Ph.D (senior mathematics lecturer from ITB) and Mr Sujiwo Tejo (famous artist).
Besides the seminar, as the title, there was also a mathematics exhibition. I found some mathematics jokes, maybe those aren’t something new, but still funny for me.

For your information, the limit as x->8 of 1/(x-8) is not equal to +inf. It doesn’t exist since the limit from the left does not equal the limit from the right.
-inf = +inf <–FALSE
Therefore the answer is D.N.E.
Yup, in the real math, that’s correct, lim (1/(x-8)) as x goes to 8 does not exist since the left side and right side limit is different, one is -inf and another one is +inf.
